Congratulations to Merv Dusyk on a great round of 67 last week. Noteworthy on it’s own…but when you add that he beat his age by 4 shots even better.
The Ladies Solheim Cup this weekend was a doozie. Tied after 9 holes, tied after 18 holes, tied after 27 holes and tied until the final match on the final hole! Cathy Herbert sank a 10 footer on 18 to seal a 2 point victory for team gold. Perfect weather and great competitors!
Our final Pasta Night of the year will be Friday October 4 and we expect a sell-out. Reservations are so good in fact that we have added entertainment that evening from 6 – 9 pm. Please plan ahead and reserve a table to ensure a place.

The Red Deer Golf and Country Club will offer Thanksgiving lunch and dinner specials on Sunday October 13 and Monday October 14. Why not gather the family for some good food and fellowship in Red Deer’s finest setting.
The golf course is in very good condition and the long range forecast not that bad. If (?) we aerate greens this fall it will take place after our closing date. We hope all members take advantage of the course conditions and weather and play into October.
The Red Deer Golf and Country Club will close for the season following play Sunday October 20.
A reminder that tee times start each day at 9 am this week, 9:30 commencing September 30 and 10 am commencing October 7.
Red Deer Golf and Country Club members are fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase Troon cards at a substantial discount. We need at least 20 participants each year to stay in that program. The Club facilitates the transaction but makes no money on the deal. There is great value to any members spending two or three weeks or more down south.
Information about the 2020 Troon Card will be available on www.TroonCard.com starting on October 1st. Please note that this offer is only for members of the RDGCC and not shared outside of the Club.
We require a minimum of 20 Troon Cards purchased to access these preferred rates and must be sent in by Friday, October 11 (not October 31 as stated on the attachment below). Last year we participated with less than 20 and the good people at Troon have reminded us that we need the 20 this year. Those who have purchased in the past without exception think they get good value.
