Our newest shareholder is Ron Goss.  Ron is the owner of Black Creek Developments Inc.  I’m sure you have seen several of his commercial projects being built throughout Central Alberta.  Ron had been a member previously and joined again in 2018 as a non-shareholder.  He is looking forward to many more years at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.  Welcome Ron, and thanks again for choosing the Red Deer Golf and Country Club!!

The recent weather (and Thanksgiving) has contributed to us making some changes to the Club Calendar:

  1. The Senior Men will have a fall wind-up on Tuesday September 25.
  2. The Solheim Cup has been moved to September 29 and 30.
  3. The Ironman will be held Sunday October 14………the final day for regular play will be Saturday October 13.
  4. Note that the COURSE WILL BE CLOSED Monday October 1st as we aerate the greens.  Heath and crew will be pulling cores and the greens will take some time to heal.  Guest green fees will be at our reciprocal rate of $60 plus gst Oct 02 thru Oct 08.
  5. ANOTHER IMPORTANT CHANGE is that the golf shop will open and commence taking telephone bookings at 7 am for the remainder of the year.

The Men’s Senior Wind-Up is a can’t miss as for the first time all year the A Division will duke it out against those bad boys in Division B.  The $20 entry fee includes an entertainer and meal following play.  You can sign up at the golf shop……and Kirk will team up singles where possible.

Wednesday September 19 we host a private function in the East lounge at 6 pm.

Saturday September 22 the Clubhouse will close at 2 pm as we set and prepare then host a wedding.

Sunday September 23 we host a birthday celebration in the dining room from 1 -4 pm.

Tuesday Sept 25 a group of 30 for dinner.

Wednesday Sept 26 the Icemaker registration from 7 pm.

Thursday and Friday Sept 27 and 28 The Icemaker Tournament.

Friday Sept 28 Nurses on the Run from 8 pm.

Saturday Sept 29 a private anniversary celebration in the East Lounge.

Wednesday October 10 is the Ladies Fall Banquet. You can sign up with Pam.

Friday October 12 we host the ultimate Simon and Garfunkel Tribute.  Steak and Lobster and the show for $75.00 per person all inclusive.  Space is available but we expect to sell out so reserve ASAP.

The Red Deer Golf and Country Club still has some good dates available for Christmas parties and staff or family gatherings.  Call or email Robyn or Debbie to book. ( or 403.347.5441). Speaking of Christmas we will host a Christmas Brunch with Santa Claus on Sunday December 16.  The cost will be $50 for adults, kids 11 – 14 $20.00, with kids 10 and under eating free.  This is restricted to members and their families only and limited to the first 100.  All kids 10 and under will get a gift so please give us their names, age and gender when you book your table.

Our popular prime rib dinners will start on Sunday September 16 and run every Sunday through December 16.  Prime Rib will always be one of three dinner specials.

The Thanksgiving long weekend is October 06, 07 and 08.  Last year our dinner specials were very well received. This year on Saturday we will have a full on Pasta Night with pasta prepared and served from the front of the house.  Our Sunday and Monday dinner features are as follows. Note that the prices include a starter salad or soup…….and that the Club is offering 15% off all wine all three days that weekend.
