RDGCC Memo

Our newest shareholder is Darren Sopkow.  Darren is a civil engineer and a construction manager at Nova Chemicals.  He has enjoyed an Associate membership, and knows what the Red Deer Golf and Country Club is all about.  Darren is another one of our figjammer’s that learned the hard way in 2018 that no-one remembers who finishes second!  He is married to Erin and they have three children (Hudson-8, Emmy-6, and Brier-3).  Hudson already is giving the game a go…and he and Erin look forward to lots of family time at the beautiful RDGCC in the years ahead.  Welcome to the RDGCC.

Sorry to say that we did NOT hit our required number of reservations this week and there will be NO Sunday dining or Super Bowl Take-Out.

Other upcoming events to make note of are the Billy Joel/Elton John Tribute Friday March 29 and our Opening Reception on Friday April 12.

Our 2019 membership applications were mailed earlier this week.  Please call us at the office if for some reason yours doesn’t arrive, or if you have a friend or business associate that you think might like to have one.  Our members are our best salesmen, and we appreciate your referrals.

I am sad to say that today is Assistant Superintendent Chris Miller’s last day of employment with the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.  Chris has worked with us for the last 10 years, and became a very important part of our team, and a good friend.  We will all miss him.  He and Paige (also a valued member of our F & B team for 2 or 3 years) plan on a few months of travelling.  Best wishes on your adventure and good luck in the future.  Thanks to both on behalf of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club Board, management, staff, and members.
