Please be advised that the Annual General Meeting has been re-scheduled to Monday January 20, 2020 at 7:00pm.

Speaking of the AGM, Darrin Steinke is the chair of this years nominating committee.  This group reviews names of people interested in serving on our board.  They attempt to choose individuals who represent a wide range of members and have a suitable skill set.  The nominating committee will then put forward enough names to fill open positions.  Should any other shareholders choose to stand for election there is a nomination form available at the administration office.  Candidates must be nominated by two shareholders and return the form to the administration office at least two weeks in advance of the AGM.

We are proud to announce that The Red Deer Golf and Country Club was chosen as Alberta’s Private Facility Retailer Of The Year at the PGA of Alberta buying show last week.  Congratulations to Dean Manz, Chris Melbourne, Kirk Evans, Grant Numrich and staff for a well deserved award.  Their professionalism, selection, quality of goods and expertise, shows in the increased sales.  Thanks as well to our Red Deer Golf and Country Club members for supporting our member owned golf shop.  Normally Dean would have a very could chance at being named the Canadian PGA’s retailer of the year based on the 2019 performance.  Dean is a past winner from his time at Wascana and is ineligible to win twice.  The RDGCC wins everyday with outstanding service.

Be prepared in 2020 for some changes to our rules regarding tee times.  We will give more information thru the off season, but a short version is that we need all four names listed and fewer TBD’s and blank spaces.
Members all benefit by having an accurate tee sheet.

New stock and Christmas gift ideas have started to arrive in our golf shop.  Stop out whenever you are able and have a coffee and visit with our professional staff.

A final reminder that October 31, 2019 is our year end.  We would appreciate all accounts be paid prior to that date.  Thanks for a great golf season!
