The Red Deer Golf and Country Club is not immune to our Province’s economic realities, and like all businesses must change and adapt with the times.  I am pleased to inform that at their meeting last night a decision was made which we feel adds tremendous value to all active shareholders.  It is one consistent with our member and family first mentality.

For the first time and from 2017 forward all immediate family members of an active shareholder will be able to purchase memberships at the shareholder rate.  In other words a 55 year old shareholder could buy a membership, and introduce his parents and children to play at the shareholder rate as well.

In addition to this innovative change the Board will strike a committee in the new year to investigate the entrance and transfer fees to make sure that our pricing is set in a manner that works best for the shareholder and the Club.

We have made changes to our membership priority that limits us to a maximum of 730 golfers.  We will not hit that number in 2017 and will make and advise of the necessary amendments as they are approved.

In addition to the changes above our 2017 membership prices were set, with shareholder prices up roughly 2%.  We are also giving Intermediates and Juniors whose parents are members a discount on memberships going forward.

We have a Special Edition Pasta Night scheduled for Thursday December 08.  We encourage all members to gather friends, business associates, and golf partners to join us that evening.  Reservations are mandatory (403-347-5441) and a minimum of 40 guests required.
