We have another great looking forecast this weekend. We hope you take advantage and visit the beautiful Red Deer Golf and Country Club. Executive Chef Ryan Poole and Food Services Manager Robyn Amell have delivered consistently good food and service. Bring your friends and try out the new menu!
Two people that don’t get nearly enough credit for what they do are Pam Vincent and Deb Marshall in the Administration Office. Pam handles all cashouts and day to day member inquiries. In addition to the financials Deb has taken a lead role in the online booking and our transition to a Club-owned golf shop. We are lucky to have them both, and I appreciate all they do for the RDGCC.
Our Indian Cuisine Night is Monday May 28 and we have space available. Reservations are required. Please call the office at 403-347-5441 today to save your space.
We received several emails and comments regarding our last message on beverage carts. In response I am happy to inform that the carts will stay out on Men’s Nights and Thursday afternoons. The temperature must be a minimum of 16 degrees and no rain.
The Central Alberta Senior’s presented by Riverview Insurance Solutions is set for Thursday June 7. You can enter by calling the golf shop.
Next Thursday May 31 we are hosting a group of 28 women who will tee off commencing at 5 pm and play 9 holes followed by dinner upstairs.
On Saturday June 2 we host an outside function that will fill 2/3 of the clubhouse upstairs. We will have service available in the other 1/3 and on one patio. It will be first come first served that evening.
On Sunday June 10 and Monday June 11 we host the 13th annual Love of Children. The Love of Children is Central Alberta’s premiere golf event and benefits the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation. We are proud to have hosted this event every year since its inception. Their committee works tirelessly all year in support of the cause…and as a result can reasonably expect to pass the 3 million dollar mark in support of various pediatric care areas of need at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Bravo!
The clubhouse will close at 8:30 am Sunday morning on June 10 and re-open Monday evening when we host the Love of Children.
A warning to all members that we have had a recent vehicle break-in in our parking lot. A locked truck had its passenger window broken and some contents removed. Please let us know of any non-golf activity in the lot…and keep your valuables out of sight or locked in the trunk.
