Have you ever had one of those days where nothing goes right??  Last Friday May 05 (Cinco de Mayo) at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club Past President Jack Tremain was experiencing exactly that.

The poor guy got tied up with work and showed up late for his tee time.  No time to hit balls so he hopped up to the first tee only to discover his distance finder was not charged.  So he runs back to the golf shop and borrows one.  Realizing he is holding things up he hurries his drive and pulls it dead left into the trees about 100 yards up.  He hits the second shot and starts walking down the fairway when he notices that his electronic caddy is not following him.  A loose connection!!!  So he jogs back to the golf shop and rents a power cart…loads up all his apparatus and takes off again.

His third shot goes in the bunker.  He takes two to get out and 3 putts for an easy 7.  Ron LaRiviere was playing with Jack and politely waiting as this took place.  Jack gets to the second tee flustered and a little hot and promptly knocked a five iron into the hole for our first hole-in-one for 2017!!  Talk about a turn around!

What could’ve been more unbelievable is if Ron’s tap-in on #17 had’ve dropped in too.  Who would believe two Past President’s playing alone getting a hole-in-one on the same day?

A hole-in-one is outstanding…you can’t do better than that.  But ever the perfectionist Jack was seen getting fitted for new clubs the very next day.
