Tomorrow night is our first pasta night of the season. Limited seating is available so make your reservation now!
This year more than ever, we are looking at being as efficient as possible with our labour budget. After a lot of cost and sales analysis we have made the decision to open the dining room later in the mornings. Effective tomorrow, Friday June 5, the dining room will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The snack shack will continue to open at 8:30 daily. Please plan your mornings appropriately to our new times. Coffee will be available at the pro shop daily until the snack shack and or dining room opens.
Our staff is continuing to take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety and yours during this pandemic. Some of these measures include masks, sanitizing tables, chairs, menus and frequently touched items as well as not presetting tables. This is all in-line with AHS guidelines. PLEASE HELP US comply with government regulation by keeping tables to 6 people only! You are welcome to sit at tables beside your group; however, please do not move tables and chairs together as the current capacity per table is six. Thank you for your help in keeping us all safe.
If you have been in the dining room recently, you will have noticed we are making some small changes. The partition wall is in place to separate the quieter dining area on the east isde and the more “lounge” type area on the west side. Please sit where you feel comfortable. We plan on presetting the tables as soon as regulations allow for this. Other changes this season include our pre-order pickup options menu from the snack shack. Call 587-679-6552 before teeing off on 8 to order and pick up your meal at the turn. Items are all $8 and include Burger, Chicken Fingers, Club Sandwich and Smoked Turkey Sandwich!
Our take-home menu items continue to be very popular and will carry on throughout the year. Starting at noon on Monday, June 8, the following items are available for pick up:
Homemade turtle chocolates $8/ Dozen
Cedar Plank Atlantic Salmon $11/each
Atlantic salmon with cedar plank, orange, lemon and fresh herbs ready for your grill
NY Striploin Steak – $13/each
AAA Alberta NY striploin steak, hand cut and individually sealed
Next week we will announce our Father’s Day weekend features.
In light of Father’s Day, please read this message from Dan Jefferies son Collin.
As you may have heard, the First Annual Dan Jefferies Memorial Golf Tournament was to take place on June 22, but due to Covid-19 it has been postponed until 2021. However, there is no reason we can’t celebrate Dan and raise funds for the Central Alberta Cancer Centre. In the spirit that Dan lived his life – taking what came his way, never giving up, and always taking a positive point of view – the show must go on!
You can participate in the DJ Memorial Virtual Tournament 2020 in these ways:
1. Remember how much Dan loved golf!
Play a game of golf this summer in Dan’s memory.
2. Toast Dan!
DJ’s “Why Wouldn’t Ya?” Golden Ale is now available for purchase at Troubled Monk Brewery, 1-5551 45 Street, Red Deer. $1 from every 6 pack will be donated to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre.
You can also order online: www.troubledmonk.com
3. Honour Dan!
Make a tax-deductible donation to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre by using this link: https://p2p.onecause.com/djmemorialgolf or by sending a cheque to: 10123 99 St NW #710, Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1. Please be sure to designate your cheque to the DJ Memorial.
Let’s have some fun with this!
Snap a photo of you on the course and/or while you enjoy a “Why Wouldn’t Ya?” Ale and post it to the DJ Memorial Facebook and Instagram pages with #DJMEMORIAL2020.
Enjoy a game of golf, have a beer with a friend. As Dan would say, “Why Wouldn’t Ya?”
Thank you again for your ongoing support of the Food & Beverage team, and don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help improve your experience at the Club.
