The Member Relations Committee would like to announce the following changes to our 2016 Events Calendar.
1. The Club Championship has been moved to Sept 03, 04, 05.
2. The Senior Club Championship has been moved to August 25 and 26. Please mark the dates on your calendar and roster books. Posters and sign up sheets will be up later this summer.
Friday June 17 we will have another Pasta Night with pasta prepared and served at the front of the house. In addition to 9 Wine and Dine’s we will schedule one additional Pasta Night each month on a day that fits our schedule.
This Sunday the first tee will be closed from 3 pm as we host the Scottsville Spring Parent/Child. Restricted Intermediates and Senior Restricted may book available tee times after 1 pm.
Our Past President’s water feature is near completion. Sonja and Jim have planted perennials and will add some flowers to finish it off. Thanks again to the Past Presidents of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.
We have a number of members that enjoy early morning golf, and occasionally play prior to our first tee time booking. At their last meeting the Board discussed early morning golf and came up with some guidelines we will follow in the months and years ahead. We have posted a copy of the guidelines in the shadow box in the main hallway downstairs.
A reminder that the Red Deer Golf and Country Club has reciprocal arrangements with Pinebrook, Bearspaw, Cottonwood and Carnmoney, Highlands, Windermere, Edmonton Petroleum Club, the Edmonton Country Club and Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club. Red Deer Golf and Country Club members can book tee times in advance, bring guests and play at favourable rates at those private and semi-private facilities. Times at participating Club’s must be booked through our Professional staff and are subject to availability.
Ok folks, let’s get serious. June 03, over 5,000 rounds (that is 20,000 par 3’s) and no hole-in-ones?!?!
Good luck this weekend. A great forecast and excellent conditions! Surely someone will knock it in the hole!
