Canada Day passes are now available for pickup at the Administration Office.  All vehicles will need a pass Sunday July 01 to access the Red Golf and Country Club.

On Canada Day we will have a crossover start in the morning commencing at 8 am.  Breakfasts are great at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.  Why not meet early and give us a try?  Our popular Canada Day 18 hole Par 3 shotgun start tournament will follow at 3:30 pm.  All holes will be set as Par 3’s.  You can play in groups of 8 and younger family members are welcome to participate.  There will be a BBQ at the Snack Shack and Canada Day Specials upstairs.  Seating upstairs will be first come first served all day.

This week we have a memorial event on Thursday that will close the upstairs from 1 pm – 4:30 pm.

On Friday we host the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Society of Club Managers.  Approximately 40 Club Managers and their Club President or Director will participate.  They tour our turf facility in the morning and golf commencing at 11:28 am.

Entries are now being taken for the Red Deer Golf and Country Club Ladies Invitational, the Mason Martin Homes Ladies Member Guest, and the RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities Central Alberta Amateur.  Our golf course is in terrific condition, and the committees of those tournaments have done great work organizing.  Invite your friends and enter early.

Over the next week our crew will be adding sand to some bunkers, spraying fairways and tees and continuing to work on tree removal/replacement.  Thanks for your cooperation in respecting the staff and allowing them to work safely.  Thanks as well for using the sand and seed bottles (be generous when filling the divots), repair ball marks, and rake bunkers pushing the sand back to the middle of the traps.
