Canada Day is Wednesday July 01.  As usual City of Red Deer Parking Passes will be necessary for anyone to be able to drive to the Club that day.  We will have the passes at the Administration Office next week and members can pick them up after that.  On Canada Day we plan a member shotgun at 8:30 am and our popular Par 3 Shotgun at 4 pm.  Wooden Nickel will entertain on the cart landing with burgers and beverages available.  The RDGCC is the best place to celebrate Canada Day and watch the City of Red Deer fireworks.
In addition to those listed above we have a lot of events coming up.  The BMO Junior, Central Alberta Oilmen’s, our Club Championship, Sun Life CAA, Cadillac Member Guest, and the Central Alberta Ladies.  You can get information or entry forms for all tournaments by calling the Golf Shop.
Hugh MacBeth figures he has been a member of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club for at least 40 years.  Assuming he played 25 rounds a year (conservative?) that means he would have played #2 over 1000+ times.  Yesterday he proved that practise makes perfect when he made his first ever hole-in-one.  A perfect 4 iron to a pin on the middle tier.
Congratulations Hugh!!  Success on #5, 15 and 17 can’t be that far behind…can it?
