We are pleased to inform that 78 geese were herded up yesterday and taken to their rural home. There may be a few older stragglers but our contractor is well aware and expects them to shuffle off in the near future. Geese have the ability to fly in and out at their pleasure so if you do see one or two out here over the rest of the summer admire them for choosing to visit the Red Deer Golf and Country Club and trust that they’ll flock off in due time.
Our next 9, Wine & Dine is this Saturday from 3 – 5 pm. There will be a full-on Pasta Night in conjunction.
Hats off to the Red Deer Golf and Country Club turf team for great work bringing us back into Red Deer Golf and Country Club condition. We will do another verti-cutting and light topdressing this week, and will lower heights again. The golf course looks terrific. We hosted a very happy group from the Alberta Golf Tour yesterday who were very appreciative of our great facility.
Am I the only guy still having trouble making par on #18? The Red Deer Golf and Country Club has two great finishing holes on #9 and #18…but already this year we have had two eagles on #18!! Congratulations and nice golfing to Luc Vienneau and Mike Hogan for their deuces! I hope they both had presses riding!
The Cadillac Member Guest is scheduled for Friday June 21. The tournament is a showcase event for the RDGCC. One lucky guest will win a membership for the balance of the season. Please click on the link below or call Pam or Don at the Administration Office to register.

The RBC Scramble is a new tournament for us…but has been running nationally for 5 years or more. There are Club and regional play-offs with Provincial winners going on an all expense paid trip to the finals which are always held at one of Canada’s top golf courses. Our Club play-off is Saturday June 22. Check with the golf shop for more details.
