The Board of Directors and I are pleased to announce that Dean Manz has agreed to join our team as Head Golf Professional.  Dean is married to Amanda and they have one son (Kempton) and two daughters (Piper and Quinn).

Dean started his Professional career in 2006 and comes to us following a 7 year stint as Head Golf Professional at the Wascana Country Club in Regina.  He was the 2007 Saskatchewan PGA Junior Promoter of the Year, the 2015 and 2016 Saskatchewan Retailer of the Year, the 2015 Canadian PGA Pat Fletcher Award winner as Merchandiser of the Year, and the 2017 Saskatchewan PGA Club Professional of the year.

We received nearly 30 applications for our Head Professional position and ultimately interviewed 6 candidates. Thanks to those of you who called on candidates behalf, and to those whom we may have reached out to for information. It was an educational and worthwhile process. We attracted a strong field.

Dean will be starting work early in February, and Amanda and the family will follow at a later date. We are excited that they chose Red Deer, and we look forward to a great partnership.
