Golf Shop News – September 27, 2019

Good Morning Members,

We have one remaining Club event on the 2019 calendar year.  On Sunday, October 6 at noon, we will be hosting the Ironman/Ironlady golf tournament.  This event is a 2-person scramble.  Men will play from the black tees, and the ladies will play from the yellow tees.  The 2-person scramble format is a team net score.  Team handicap is calculated by adding together 35% of the “A” player and 15% of the “B” player’s handicap.  The “A” player is defined as the player with the lowest handicap and the “B” player has the higher handicap.

All tee markers will be positioned on the back of the tee boxes with pin locations that you have never seen before.  These pin locations will be difficult and will test your putting skills.  We have 30 teams entered to date and will be taking a maximum of 60 teams.  There will be proximity prizes on every hole,  complimentary hand warmers, and an Octoberfest themed meal after you play.  Registration deadline is Wednesday Oct. 2. Please find attached the poster along with the teams that have registered to date. There will also be a $40 team honey pot paying out the top 3 teams.  Pin locations will be selected by Tournament Committee Members Darrin Steinke & Joey Engert.
