This weekend the Club Championship takes center stage. You can enter by calling the golf shop. Entrants will receive breakfast sandwiches each day, a burger bar and fun horse race Saturday and banquet and prize presentation. Saturday evening there will be live entertainment with Bruce Carroll and everyone (participant or not) is welcome. Please invite some friends and join in the fun!! The entry fee for the Club Championship is $95.00 with every penny (plus) going back into prizes. The golf course will be closed for outside play all day Saturday.
On Monday August 26 we host the Red Deer Royals 50th Anniversary Golf Classic. The tournament is a 9 am shotgun. Congratulations to Ray McBeth and Paul Pangles for their efforts organizing.
Thursday August 29 we host a Mystery Tour for an outside Club. We expect them to have roughly 40 participants and they will tee off at 10 or 10:30 pending their final tally.
The Men’s Night Final is Wednesday September 4 with a 2 pm shotgun start. We will advise morning availability in the next message.
On Saturday September 7 the clubhouse will close at 2 pm as we host a wedding. There will be BBQ service and a limited menu at the Snack Shack. The driving range will also be closed for an hour or so in the afternoon as we shuttle people to and from the ceremony on 8a.
Friday August 30 we will have another full-on Pasta Night with pasta prepared and served from the front of the house. Reservations are recommended.
Tuesday September 17 will be the Senior Men’s Wind-Up. That day there will be a steak BBQ and entertainment with the “A” group playing the “B”. One prize! Good meal! Great fun!…see you there!
A man’s wedding ring was found in the men’s locker room over the weekend. Call the Administration Office to identify and claim it.
The best hole played last week was by Rita Pizzey. All she did was drive it down the middle, crush a 3 wood straight and true and then lob a pitching wedge into the hole for her first ever eagle on #4. Ho hum!! Way to go Rita!
