Our newest shareholder is Ian Findlater. Ian is an avid golfer and was an RDGCC Junior member several years ago. He is the owner of Eco Medical Equipment. Ian grew up with a bunch of friends that are already Red Deer Golf and Country Club members. He looks forward to lots of friendly competition and free lunches!
Our Junior Parent/Child meeting will be held this evening commencing at 6:00 pm.
This Sunday the Easter Bunny will be at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club during our Easter Brunch. Space is still available so reserve today. Please note that with the driving range and golf course open the Easter Egg Hunt has been cancelled. The Bunny will distribute chocolate to all kids in attendance.
This weekend Senior restrictions will be waived on Good Friday and relaxed on holiday Monday to allow tee times after 12 noon. We hope our Senior members take advantage.
Next Wednesday April 24 the clubhouse will be closed from 8 – 5 pm as we host a private function. The BBQ and a limited menu will be available in the Snack Shack.
On Friday April 26 we will have our first full-on Pasta Night with pasta prepared and served from the front of the house. Reservations highly recommended.
All members are reminded that we have printed off 2019 rule changes and have them available at the golf shop. Putting with the pin in, dropping from knee height and reducing the time to look for a lost ball to 3 minutes are a few of the new rules.
Please remember to use the sand and seed or to replace divots. If the divot has enough structure to lift and replace that is our first choice. If not please use the sand and seed and fill the divot.
The Ladies Spring Banquet, Fashion Show and Trunk Sale will be held on Friday May 6. Ladies President Linda Codd and her committee have been hard at work already and will have lots of news regarding the 2019 season. Call 403-347-5441 to reserve and advise us on your meal choice (Braised Short Rib or Roast Chicken).
2019 is shaping up to be a very busy year at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club. We hope you all take advantage of our early start and enjoy this beautiful facility. Thanks for your patience as Heath and crew work to get those greens still under tarps back into RDGCC condition as quickly as possible. It’s going to be a terrific golf season!!
