The Red Deer Golf and Country Club will open for the season on Friday April 08 at 10 am. Tee times may be booked as usual, and the golf shop will commence taking calls at 8 am (403-340-4460). We are opening two days earlier than 2015, and in my opinion in better condition. Red Deer Golf and Country Club members can look forward to another great golf year!!
The Clubhouse will be open daily for lunch from 11:30 – 1:30 pm starting today! All entrees this week will be priced at $10.00 with selections off of our new menu. Our driving range and snack shack are also open all week.
Congratulations to Brigitt and Cam Smith who welcomed a healthy baby boy on April 01. After 3 days of induction, 9 hours of labour and an emergency c-section Colten Cameron Smith made his appearance. 8 lbs and 3 oz and everyone is doing well. We have a card started in the office…stop in this week to sign.
The Opening Reception and New Member Orientation will be held on Friday April 22 from 5 – 9 pm. The Club President, Ladies President and Management team will make short presentations outlining the 2016 golf season. It is a nice night with complimentary hors d’ouvres and refreshments. We expect 150 RDGCC members and hope you choose to join in!! It is a great start to the golf year.
The Ladies Spring Banquet has been scheduled for Monday May 09, with a 6 pm start. Those attending can call the office at 403-347-5441 to register. A menu will be posted later this week and you can select your dinner when you register. Ladies President Darlene Bates and her Executive have lots of fun events and activities in store for 2016. We encourage all ladies to attend…and yes there will be a fashion show after showcasing Ken Frame Golf Sales new inventory.
Please join us for Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday May 08. Executive Chef Ryan Poole and Food Services Manager Robyn Amell have a menu planned that will knock your socks off and that will surely impress Mom.
The Mother’s Day Brunch menu will include: Continental items (muffins, danishes, cookies, croissants, fruit salad, cinnamon buns), assorted buns and salads, deli & cheese trays, cocktail shrimp & cajun buttered shrimp with dips, roasted red pepper & chive hashbrowns, maple smoked pepper bacon/sausage, scrambled eggs, traditional eggs benedict as well as smoked salmon spinach benny, carved apple cinnamon glazed ham and carved Prime Rib. Desserts will include a chocolate fountain (with strawberries and assorted fruit), assorted pastries/tarts/squares, and a crepe station with assorted fruit, maple, strawberry, and chocolate syrups with fresh whipped cream.
