Monday September 22 the RDGCC will host the 25th Annual Red Deer College Golf Classic.  The College is an integral part of our Red Deer life, and recognized nationally as being one of the best.  In addition to several of their staff holding memberships at the Club, we have a lot of employees that have graduated or attended RDC.  We are proud to be their host.  The Golf Classic is sold out and the forecast looks good.  All signs point to another successful tournament.

Next Saturday September 27 the Clubhouse will close at 2 pm as we host a wedding.

Sunday September 28 our Ladies host the first Annual Bring a Friend or More Tournament.  All members are encouraged to bring guests at a special green fee rate of $50.00.  The girls will play a yellow-white-blue game and meet upstairs following play.  There is a sign-up sheet in the Ladies locker room.

Our Member Appreciation Dinner/Dance is very near a sell-out.  Don’t forget to reserve your table.  That evening we will have short presentations to Ken Frame and Roy Hide, a Ukrainian Buffet dinner and entertainment by Wooden Nickel.

We have a couple of cards upstairs to Ken and Roy that we would encourage all members to sign at their convenience and you could drop off cards if you wish.

The Ladies Fall Banquet and meeting is set for Wednesday October 01.  All members who plan on attending can call the office at 403-347-5441 to sign up.

Next time you see Larry or Rita Pizzey please thank them for great work organizing our Senior Men’s and Ladies Day.  They work hard on our behalf, and because they do such a good job many of us take their work for granted.  The golf shop and I certainly do not.  Thanks folks!!

We are taking entries for the Ironman which runs Sunday October 05.  The tournament is open to all adult members and usually sells out.  You can sign up in the golf shop.

A reminder to smokers to please dispose of your cigarette/cigar butts in the trash cans at each tee box.  I have had several of our members email me complaining of butts being tossed on tee boxes, greens and fringes.

Our golf course is great!  We hope everyone gets a few more games in as our season winds down…and bring your friends!
