2015 has been a year to remember for Red Deer Golf and Country Club Assistant Superintendent Brigitt Smith. This summer was highlighted by her marriage to Cam and soon after the great news that were expecting a child. Things could not be better.
Brigitt does great work and is a respected Superintendent. The good news for the Red Deer Golf and Country Club is that she will return to work following her maternity leave.
Late November there was news of another nature when Cam and Brigitt’s home burned to the ground. While fortunate no one was hurt it was truly a tragedy and a difficult and complete loss.
I spoke with Brigitt today and with time things are being sorted out. They were fortunate to be well insured, have supportive family and friends, and are doing well enough financially with their basic needs taken care of.
She thanks all the members and Board of Directors for their well wishes and offers of assistance.
We will keep you posted if a special need arises but for now things are as good as can be. Cards may be dropped off at the Administration Office and will be forwarded to Cam and Brigitt.
