The upstairs of the Clubhouse will be closed for the day from 3 pm this Thursday May 17 as we host a private function. Sorry for any inconvenience. There will be a BBQ at the Snack Shack with extended hours and as weather permits.
We are taking reservations for our Indian Cuisine Night Monday May 28. Executive Chef Ryan Poole will team with Chef Neeraj Raturi from Indian Kitchen. It is a 3 course plated meal at a cost of $50 per person.

There has been much discussion about our age of eligibility for competitive events, particularly in the Men’s Senior Division. Following the advice of Golf Canada the age of eligibility will be the competitor’s age as of the first day of the National Championship (this year September 7). Golfers who turn 55 up to and including that date qualify to play in our Senior Men’s competitions.
The Ladies Field Day is Saturday May 26. There is a sign-up sheet and information in the Ladies locker room.
On Thursday May 31 we will welcome a group of 28 ladies from Alberta and BC for 9 holes of golf commencing at 5 pm with dinner to follow. The group moves around from year to year and we look forward to hosting at the beautiful Red Deer Golf and Country Club.
The Central Alberta Senior’s presented by Riverview Insurance Solutions is filling fast. The tournament is set for Thursday June 7 and we expect a full field. RDGCC members planning to play should sign up ASAP.
I’d like to tip my hat to Dean Manz and Kirk Evans, and thank our Red Deer Golf and Country Club members for their tremendous support of our Titleist Personalized Ball Program. The RDGCC Golf Shop was second in sales in South Central Alberta, narrowly losing to a Club that placed in the top 5 in Canada. A job well done by our golf shop staff and well supported by Alberta’s best membership.
Congratulations to our Mother’s Day draw winners. Maureen Amell and Carrie Halsey walk away with the two floral baskets! We had terrific support at Brunch and Dinner. Thank you!
…and did I forget to mention that when Byron Kindopp aced the 15th hole a couple weeks ago that he didn’t even win the honour on #16? Tough competitor that he is Sam Wong chipped in for a deuce and with his stroke tied the hole and teed off first!
