In order to get your best pricing on 2018 memberships dues must be paid by Thursday March 15. The application forms are available online ( www.rdgcc.ca ) or at the office, and we are open daily 9 – 4 pm and Tuesday this week 9 – 5 pm.
The 2018 golf season is fast approaching and Red Deer Golf and Country Club members have a lot to be excited about.
Head Professional Dean Manz has started merchandising the golf shop and it looks great! New product lines and new staff add to the excitement and anticipation.
Dean and his Associate Kirk Evans will be available and on the range all season club fitting and demoing new product. Thanks to Dave Leonard and Care Industries for providing use of a Trackman Launch monitor this summer.
Head Superintendent Heath Koch and Assistant Chris Miller have an experienced crew hired and ready to go when the snow clears. We followed best practices last fall, and while nothing is certain, at this point we expect good opening condition.
Executive Chef Ryan Poole is entering his third season and has a number of returning kitchen crew. A nice way to start the season.
Food Services Manager Robyn Amell and Assistant Debbie Slagman are both back, along with a number of key staff and familiar faces. Last year response to our food service and quality was positive…we look to build on that momentum!
We will be going to an online tee time booking system, and will use it from the day we open. Expect some emails in the next couple weeks introducing the system and the “how to’s”. There will be presentations in the Clubhouse and posters explaining the system…and of course our golf shop staff will be available 7 days should problems arise.
Our Opening Reception is Friday April 20 from 5 pm. Please plan on joining us and meet our new staff. It is an evening of fellowship with complimentary hors d’ouvres and drink. Your Club President, Ladies Club President and managers will make short presentations on everything Red Deer Golf and Country Club members have to look forward to this golf season.
