Our newest shareholder is Sander Tettmar.  Sander works with RBC Dominion Securities and has been an Associate member since 2015.  This year his wife Sally and sons Cole and Josh are also joining for the first time.  We welcome the Tettmar family and are pleased to be part of their family fun in the years ahead.

The Red Deer Golf and Country Club is pleased to announce that we have been chosen to host the 2022 Canadian Men’s Senior Championship.  This prestigious national event fits well with our 100th anniversary in 2022 and will draw national attention to our terrific golf course.

We will also host the 2019 Future Links Western Championship which will bring the best of Canada’s Junior boys and girls to the City of Red Deer.

This July we host the Sun Life Alberta Ladies Amateur.  Our course will be a great fit for the Ladies, and we are excited to make their week as good as can be.

The Red Deer Golf and Country Club truly is one of Western Canada’s best golf facilities.  Our members do a first class job whenever we host Provincial and National events, and our competitive players do very well at every level.  As members of Alberta Golf and Golf Canada we want to play a lead role and keep our golf course top of mind when golfers think of where to play in Alberta.  In hosting the 3 tournaments listed above we have fulfilled our obligations for the next 6 or 7 years and will showcase our facility to a wide spectrum of Alberta and Canada’s best players.

On Friday March 17 please join us from 2 – 5 pm for an open house at our new turf facility.  It is the perfect chance for us to get a good look at the equipment it takes to run this place, and how well the new building suits our needs.  Burgers and refreshments will be served.

The Opening Reception will be on Friday April 21 from 5 – 9 pm.  Please join us and hear from our managers of their plans for the year ahead.  This year…in addition to hors d’ouvres and refreshments there will be live entertainment.
