Don’t forget to pick up your Canada Day Parking Passes All vehicles will need a pass to access the Red Deer Golf and Country Club on Sunday July 01.  Passes are available in the golf shop and Administration Office.

Last week a member lost a ball marker that had special meaning.  Another member found it and mentioned it to a back shop employee that if anyone missed it they could call him.  Problem now is that the back shopper wasn’t sure of the member’s name.  If you have the marker please drop it off at the Administration Office and we will get it back to the owner.

Our golf course is rounding into great condition.  A reminder to please dispose of cigarette/cigar butts in an appropriate manner…and as usual no sunflower seeds please.

This Thursday (tomorrow) the clubhouse will be closed from 1 – 4:30 pm as we host a memorial service.  There will be a BBQ at the Snack Shack.

On Friday we host the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Society of Club Managers.  Twenty managers of Alberta Clubs and their President or Director will visit the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.

Sunday July 1 we have a member crossover from 8 – 9:42 am followed by our Canada Day Par 3 Shotgun at 3:30 pm.  You can sign up online as usual for both events.  In the Par 3 you can play in groups up to 8 with a $20.00 guest green fee.  Seating upstairs will be first come first served.  On Sunday our normal weekend booking restrictions will be in effect.

Monday July 2 will not be treated as a holiday…so play as a normal Monday.  Monday is also a discounted green fee day where non-members will play for $60.00.

Next Friday and Saturday is the Central Alberta Oilmen’s.  Then Sunday we host a wedding on 8a.  Clubhouse hours for the Sunday (July 8) will be announced early next week.
