We opened all eighteen holes this morning.  A big thank you to our grounds crew for a couple of long hard days.

We are looking at a variety of options to deal with the downed trees, but will take a patient and safe approach.  Sometimes the damage done bringing in heavy equipment (not to mention cost) is not worth the short term gain.  In the meantime we will be roping off a seldom played in area on the left of 6, an area on the right of 8 and a wider area between 3 and 16 that will be all played as lateral hazards.  Get or hit your ball out if you can but you’ll have the option to drop a ball for a one stroke penalty.

We will get through this and we will look great going forward.  Thanks for your patience and trust as we move through it.  Our focus is the long term best interests of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club.

The Red Deer Golf and Country Club has some prime dates available for Christmas parties.  Whether it be a breakfast meeting, long lunch or hors d’ouvres, or a full meal with entertainment in the evening please keep us in mind.  Call Robyn Amell or Debbie Slagman at 403-347-5441 to reserve your date.

Thanks for your cooperation in signing all golf shop, snack shack, beverage cart and Clubhouse chits.  We spend a lot of time dealing with members questioning unsigned items, and your diligence will save us all money.

Thursday June 29 is a discounted green fee day.  Guests will play for $60.00 plus GST.  Please make your guests aware of our dress code and expected pace of play.

On Canada Day we will have a shotgun start at 8:30 am for regular play (all restrictions waived) and our Canada Day Par 3 shotgun start at 2 pm.  For the Par 3 “tournament” there is no charge for RDGCC members and guests pay a $25 green fee.  Make your own 4-somes.  We will have dinner specials and our regular menu available upstairs following play with reservations recommended.  There will not be burgers or entertainment on the cart landing as in the past.

Canada Day Passes are now available for pick up at the Administration Office.  Please note you will need a RDGCC Canada Day Pass to access the golf course on Canada Day!
