I’d like to welcome our two newest shareholders, Scott Fengstad (RBC Dominion Securities) and Jason Weinberger (Copp’s Services Inc.). Both purchased memberships and shares this week and Jason’s wife Amy has joined us with a Member Privilege Pack.
The Red Deer Golf and Country Club is a great place to play and belong. We are pleased Scott, Jason and Amy have chosen to join us, and are sure they will enjoy their memberships in the years to come.
Plan on visiting the Clubhouse tomorrow evening. In addition to our regular Pasta Night Funhouse will be entertaining. Funhouse is a terrific corporate/wedding band that everyone will enjoy. Our Summer Social Series is presented by Procom Insurance. Thanks to RDGCC member Dave Mousseau for his help putting it together.
This Sunday June 14 will be a little unusual with a double shotgun start. Players will start at 8 am and 1 pm. Call the Golf Shop to book tee times and check restrictions.
Monday June 15 is our Annual Women’s Classic. Chair June Larson and her committee have a full field of 144, and another fun day for the girls. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather…the ladies will appreciate that the golf course has never been in better condition at this time of year.
Tuesday June 16 is the Silverberg Group’s Skins Game. All members are encouraged to attend as 4 Canadian Tour Pro’s and our own Jordan Krulicki battle it out. They tee off at 5 pm and I’m betting that Jordan wins at least one of the Skins this year. Nothing would be better than a large gallery cheering them on!! Thanks to the Silverberg Group and all sponsors for their support.
On Saturday June 20 we host another 9, Wine and Dine. Tee times are available from 4 -6 pm and can be booked 1 week in advance. Guests play for a $45.00 green fee that includes a $20.00 food and beverage credit upstairs.
Something weird is happening!! People have been complaining about honest Al Rimer all year. His handicap has dropped from a solid 16 in 2014 to a 10 this year!!! Larry Pizzey, Jim Horne and Don Yamagishi can’t believe the nickles and dimes he has been winning! I’ve analyzed it and may have a solution. Al is a Flames fan and for years has fretted and worried that the Oiler’s were as good and usually better than them. This summer there is absolutely no doubt that the Oil are superior! That realization has made him a better man. His drives are 20 yards further, putts are dropping and he smiles occasionally. No doubt his wife is liking the new improved version.
It could work for you too…and there is lots of space available on the Oiler’s bandwagon.
