Thanks to all shareholders of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club for attending last night’s Annual General Meeting, and to those who provided proxies.
Ellen VanDoesburg and incumbents Keith Lamb and Phil Avram were elected by acclamation to three year terms on the Board of Directors. We appreciate their dedication, passion, and willingness to work on our behalf.
The special resolution to approve funding for a new Turf Care Facility was passed. President Mike Kooman thanked the members of the Turf Facility and Finance committees (and particularly Boman Husted and Dwayne Stolz) for their efforts getting us to this stage in the process.
At a Board meeting immediately following the AGM Keith Lamb was named Red Deer Golf and Country Club President for 2015, and Phil Avram our Vice-President. Congratulations to both, and thanks again to 2014 President Mike Kooman for great work, and serving the members best interests.
Reservations are being taken for Sunday dining January 18 and 25. The menus are listed below. Reservations can be made by calling the office (403-347-5441) Monday thru Friday from 9 – 4 pm.
January 18 Prime Rib, Duck a L’Orange (tender duck legs simmered in a savory orange sauce) accompanied by citrus rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables or Black Currant Pork Tenderloin Medallions with garlic parmesan potato wedges and seasonal vegetables.
January 25 Prime Rib, Metaxa Chicken (stuffed chicken breast with a spinach and olive tapenade slow cooked in a Metaxa brandy tomato sauce and garnished with feta cheese) served with a peppered rice and seasonal vegetables or Lemon Poached Haddock & Prawns Pasta (lightly poached haddock loin served on a bed of linguine in a white wine cream sauce tossed with prawns and vegetables).
Please note that there will be no Sunday dining on February 01 as we do some painting and maintenance in the kitchen.
2015 membership applications will be mailed out in the next 7 – 10 days. If you have any friends or business associates that may be interested in joining the RDGCC please let us know and we will call or mail them the necessary information.
