Well we have had two days that we have been able to get out onto the course and start some general clean up. Things are looking quite good out on the course with the exeption of some vole damage and some minor damage from snow mold in the rough. Most of all that damage should grow out quickly. The greens tees and fairways came out in good shape. The long lasting snow cover was a bit of a concern but in getting out on the course, it looks like our fungicide applications did the trick.
Unfortunately heavy rains are forecasted for tomorrow and will slow down the verticutting and clean up process. As soon as the weather cooperates enough to finish of preliminary cleaning, verticutiing and mowing we will open the course and hope for sunshine the rest of the season.
Here are a couple pics of the course condition as of Monday
Here’s to a fantastic 2014 golf season!
